Physiotherapy with a somatic approach combines clinical precision with body awareness to help you release tension, regain fluid mobility, and enhance your daily well-being. Each session also helps you better understand how your body works, prevent premature wear, and optimize your movements day by day. Brigitte Lachance holds a master's degree in rehabilitation from the School of Rehabilitation Sciences at the Faculty of Medicine (University of Montréal) and a bachelor's degree in dance (Université du Québec à Montréal). She has worked for over 20 years as a physiotherapist with people living with physical disabilities.
Her studies at the Laban-Bartenieff Institute of Movement Studies in New York were instrumental in the original design of the dance therapy program for people living with physical disabilities in 2006, now integrated into CIUSSS Centre-Sud de l’ile de Montréal.
As a guest lecturer at the National Centre for Dance Therapy and at several universities, she continues her involvement as a Dance/Movement Therapist (registered by the American Dance Therapy Association) with the Cree Board of Health and Social Services of James Bay.
